If only we had kept a motivated Payet alongside a fit Lanzini. Such a shame he was effectively finished by injury.

Fantastic player is manu . And he still is . No doubt that injury took half a yard off of him . He will be outstanding in either Spain or Italy. Thanks Manu all the best wherever you go .

Nice highlight reels now added to Instagram.

I'd also forgotten he scored the winner at Old Trafford in the 1-0 League Cup win of 21-22.

32 goals in 226 appearances altogether, including 10 in the last two seasons (6 of which were in the Prem).

Didn’t learn English in 8 years.

Bit pathetic that.

Cracking player and a cracking lad...

Villa are tracking him but I hope he goes home.

Apparently one of our highest earners, probably why they decided to let him go.

But we keep Ogbonna and Cresswell...

Sorry to see him go and I wish we'd seen more of him in recent times. Wonderful player before his injury and not at all bad afterwards. Lovely player to watch. Wish him well/

Can leave with his head held high.

That injury made him a "Nearly Man", but he was 100% our "Nearly Man".

I wish him well, wherever he goes.

Now. And until the moment in draw my last breath. Anyone mention Lanzini. It will always make me smile. Thank you and good luck in what life has in store for you ManU. You will have a special place in the hearts and memories of many a West Ham supporter.

IRONS.

Manu gave us 100% and plenty of memories.

His goal at Spurs stands out but his debut in our 2015 win at Anfield deserves a mention, scoring the first and assisting for the second.Great work rate to win the ball back for our second goal.

Re: It's official - Manu has departed
His contract was running down as he headed to that WC with a prime Messi his greatest advocate
The writing was on the wall that he was going to excel with Messi and then be off
The injury changed it all, a sliding doors moment

That said, what a player he was for us - a joy to watch in his prime and served many wonderful moments
I wish him all the best - Saudi/MLS?

Excellent player, Manu.

As many have said, robbed of his very best fitness and form by that injury. Hope he goes to a decent club who look after him. He takes some great moments with him.

Retain list article to add to the OP.

Good luck to Manu. He and Payet were mesmerising that season together and I honestly thought he would grow into a match winner like Payet, but that injury robbed him of being a top, top, player. Would love to have seen him stay but the head knows it's for the best.

Re: It's official - Manu has departed
On a side note I see Ogbonna has been offered a new one year deal.

With Zouma an injury waiting to happen I thought we would use Oggy’s wages to bring in a younger centre back.

Re: It's official - Manu has departed
Always been fond of Lanzini, yes the Spurs goal was superb but he also scored a beauty against Man City at their place and the goal against Crystal Palace was sublime as well.
